Although unscripted, Filter captures the scripted feel reminiscent of the 90s and early MTV, BET days, evoking the ensemble character storytelling vibe of cult classics like Mallrats.
Executive Producer Lauralee Sheehan says that creating cultural content on Cannabis has been interesting, as it’s still relatively inaccessible and stigmatized from a storytelling perspective.
